How to Extend the Service Life of a Truck-Mounted Crane

Replacing the Engine Oil and Filter
Over time, a truck-mounted crane experiences increased wear and tear, especially as metal particles accumulate in the engine oil. This further increases wear and tear on the components. Therefore, the engine oil and filter should be replaced every 5,000 kilometers to ensure proper operation.

Use Dedicated Water
Whenever possible, use water from a dedicated water tank; do not refill directly with tap water. Tap water is hard water, and refilling directly with tap water will easily form scale on the waterways. This scale will reduce the crane's heat dissipation performance and, over time, corrode the crane's components.

Replacing Brake Fluid
Brake fluid needs to be replaced regularly, ideally every 20,000 kilometers. It's important to note that different types of brake fluid must not be mixed and must be replaced regularly. If the brake fluid is not replaced for extended periods, gelatin will form in the crane's pipes and pistons, causing brake failure.

Cleaning the Fuel Tank
If a truck-mounted crane's fuel tank is used for too long or if low-quality fuel is used, the service life of the crane's fuel pump will be significantly shortened. Furthermore, the service life of the filter will also be affected. Therefore, the fuel tank should be cleaned every 100,000 kilometers.

The filter should be cleaned regularly, especially to remove impurities and dust.
